MR <!--[if gte mso 10]> MR. JUSTICE SAYED ZAHID HUSSAIN, Chief Justice Lahore High Court. Mr. Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain joined profession of law in the year 1972. His Lordship was associate of Mr. S.M. Zafar, a lawyer of international repute, in the Law firm known as Zafar Law Associates. As Advocate High Courts, Supreme Court of Pakistan and Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, had the occasion of conducting important cases. He was elevated to the Bench of Lahore High Court in the year 1998 and was confirmed as Judge on 19-5-1999. Had been Judge Banking Court of the Lahore High Court, Company Judge, Election Tribunal and Custodian of Evacuee Properties. His Lordship had been Chairman Rules Committee of Lahore High Court, Chairman Enrollment Committee of Punjab Bar Council, Chairman Committee for enrollment of Advocates in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Member, Syndicate Punjab University, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and Lahore University of Management Sciences, (LUMS). Mr. Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain hails from Chak Qazian District Narowal (Ex-District Sialkot) and belongs to an educated family, his forefathers held the august offices of Qazi/Qazi-ul-Qazat in the Mughal era. His Lordship has rendered numerous important judgments on civil and constitutional matters and brings with him vast experience in the field of law. By dint of his nobility and knowledge he is held in the highest esteem in legal circles.
