MR. JUSTICE KHALID ALI Z. QAZI, JUDGE, SINDH HIGH COURT

MR <!--[if gte mso 10]> MR. JUSTICE KHALID ALI Z. QAZI, JUDGE, SINDH HIGH COURT Mr. Justice Khalid Ali Z. Qazi son of Qazi Zahid Ali (Late), was born on 24-2-1952 at Karachi, did M.A., and then LL.M. from University of Karachi and started practice of law at Karachi in March, 1980; enrolled as an Advocate of High Court in May 1982 and then as Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in January, 1996. He was on the panel of approved Advocates of various Financial Institutions, Universities and Statutory bodies. He was elected twice Member Provincial Assembly of Sindh in 1993 and 1997 and was Minister of Education, Sindh from March, 1997 to October, 1998. He was ex-officio Pro-chancellor University of Karachi, N.E.D. Engineering University Karachi, Sindh University Jamshoro, Mehran Engineering University Jamshoro, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, Quaid-e-Awam Engineering University, Nawabshah and Sindh Agricultural University Tando Jam from March, 1997 till October, 1998. He was ex-officio Controlling Authority of Sindh Board of Technical Education from March, 1997 till October, 1998. He was visiting Professor S.M. -Government Law College, Karachi from 2003 till November, 2007 and Additional Advocate-General of Sindh from March, 2003 till November, 2007. In recognition of his services in the field of Law, Education and Human Rights, Preston University, USA, has awarded to him Honorary Ph.D. Degree in 1999. He was declared as Honrary TEXAN in 1996 by the Governor of State of Taxes (USA). He is author of four books titled as "Rendezvous with law: A Judge's Reflection", A Treatise on Law of Evidence", "Fundamentals of Social Legislation" and "Sindh Excise Manual". More than 80 reported judgments of High Court and Supreme Court as an Advocate and Additional A.G. are to his credit. He has been elevated as Additional Judge of High Court of Sindh on 4th November, 2007 and took oath as Judge of Sindh High Court on 2nd March, 2009.
