MR <!--[if gte mso 10]> MR. JUSTICE GHULAM MUSTAFA MUGHAL CHIEF JUSTICE, AZAD JAMMU AND KASHMIR HIGH COURT Born in village Balgran, District Muzaffarabad on 25th December, 1955. Got his early education from Primary School Balgran. Passed his Matriculation from Government Pilot High School, Muzaffarabad in the year 1972. He joined Degree College Muzaffarabad in 1973, and graduated from the University of the Punjab in 1976. After graduation, joined University Law College, Lahore in 1976 and did his L.L.B. in 1979. He was enrolled as a Pleader on May 5, 1980, as an Advocate of the High Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on 4-7-1983 and as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on February 24, 1987. He was elected as Member District Council, Muzaffarabad in the year 1983. Served as Legal Adviser to Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan, Muzaffarabad; Azad Kashmir Logging and Sawmills Corporation; Small Business Finance Corporation and as a part-time Lecturer at Kashmir Law College for many years. He was elected as General Secretary Central Bar, 1987. Elected as President Central Bar of the years 1991, 1993, 1995 and 1997. He was elected as Member of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Bar Council in the year 1997. Elected as Chairman of Executive Committee of Bar Council in January, 1997. Elected as President ,of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court Bar for the year 2001. Elevated as permanent Judge of Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court and took oath on January 30, 2002. Served as Member Labour Appellate Tribunal, Chairman High Court Bar Disciplinary Committee and also served as Chairman Enrollment Committee. He was Chairman Board of Governors of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Press Foundation. Elevated as Chief Justice of High Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and took oath as such on January 4, 2010.
