MR MR. JUSTICE MAZHAR ALAM KHAN MIANKHEL, CHIEF JUSTICE, PESHAWAR HIGH COURT Objective To beat that the notion justice delayed is justice denied by implementing the newly launched office polices that would not only lead to speeding up of management of cases but also clear the backlog, graph of which is visibly leaning in downward direction Mr. Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel was born on 14th July, 1957 in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He served as Vice-President and Secretary Bar Association at District Bar D.I. Khan, High Court Bar Association D.I. Khan Bench remained Member Provincial Bar Council. He delivered lectures at the Law College Gomal University, D.I. Khan. He was elevated to the bench as Additional Judge on 7-9-2009 and later on was confirmed on 5-9-2011. The first Gomalian and the first from District Bar D.I. Khan, who was elevated to the bench. Education Received his secondary education from B.I.S.E. Peshawar in year, 1973 Graduated from the Gomal University in the year 1979. Obtained Law Degree from Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan in year 1982. Professional Career Enrolled as an Advocate of the Lower Courts in, the year 1982. Enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court in the year 1984. Enrolled as an Advocate of Supreme Court of Pakistan in the year 2003. Activities at the Bar Remained as Vice-President and Secretary, District Bar Association D.I. Khan Remained as Vice-President and Secretary High Court Bar Association, D.I. Khan Bench. Also remained Member of N.-W.F.P. Bar Council, Sessions, 1999 to 2003 and 2004 to 2009. From the year 1998 to 2000, remained as visiting part-time Lecturer at Law College, Gomal University, D.I. Khan. Remained Legal Advisor of Different Firms/Institutions and Banks. Judicial Career Elevated to the Bench as Additional Judge on 7-9-2009. Elevated as permanent Judge of the Peshawar High Court on 5-9-2011. Appointments Remained as Member Syndicate of Sarhad University. Worked as Chairman, Election Tribunal and Companies Judge. Worked as Chairman Enrollment Committee of the Provincial Bar Council, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Mingora Bench. Worked as Member of Administration Committee of Peshawar High Court. Chairman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy. Interests Throughout his career, the hon'ble Judge took keen interest in the administration of justice and Rule of Law. Took oath as Chief justice of the Peshawar High Court on 8th April, 2014.
