MR MR. JUSTICE FAISAL ARAB, CHIEF JUSTICE, SINDH HIGH COURT Mr. Justice Faisal Arab was born on the 5th of November, 1955. He passed his matriculation examination from the Gulistan Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai School in Karachi and Graduated from the Government College of Commerce and Economics, Karachi in the year 1978. In the year 1989, Mr. Justice Faisal Arab obtained his Law Degree from the Sindh Muslim Law College, Karachi and thereafter undertook an internship at the renowned and prestigious law firm of Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim and Company. He was enrolled as an Advocate of the District Courts in the year 1990 and of the High Court in the year 1992. He then worked as an associate in the law firm of Surridge and Bacheno in Karachi and thereafter, from the year 1990 till 2000, as an associate at Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim and Company. In the year 2000, Mr. Justice Faisal Arab established a law firm in the name of "Faisal Arab and Associates". Mr. Justice Faisal Arab was appointed as Standing Counsel by the Federal Government in October 2004 and he was enrolled as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in July 2005. Mr. Justice Faisal Arab was elevated as a Judge of High Court of Sindh on the 25th of October, 2005. He was appointed as Member, Election Commission of Pakistan for Sindh, in November 2009 and also a member of the Federal Review Board, constituted under Article 10 of the Constitution in November, 2009 On the 20th of November 2013 he was made the President of the three-member bench of the Special Court constituted under the High Treason (Punishment) Act, 1939 to try the offence of High Treason said to have been committed by the former President of Pakistan on 3rd November, 2007. Mr Justice Faisal Arab was elevated as Chief Justice of High Court of Sindh on 17th February, 2015.
