Chief Justice, Azad Jammau and Kashmir

MR MR. JUSTICE CH. MUHAMMAD IBRAHIM ZIA, CHIEF JUSTICE, AZAD JAMMAU AND KASHMIR ------- Mr. Justice Ch. Muhammad Ibrahim Zia, was born at village Kote, on 1-4-1955. Received Primary Education from Local Institution at village Kote. Passed Secondary School Certificate Examination from Government Boys High School Chakkar and Intermediate and Graduation from Government Degree College, Muzaffarabad. Obtained degree of LL.B from the University Law College Punjab in 1979 and Started legal practice as pleader in the year 1979. Enrolled as an Advocate High Court on 4-8-1982. Elected as Member of District Council in 1983. Enrolled as Advocate Supreme Court on 31-5-1984. Elected as President and Secretary General Central Bar Association Muzaffarabad. Appointed as Chief Prosecutor Ehtesab Bureau in the year 2000. Elected as President Supreme Court Bar Association. Elected as Member Bar Council consecutively three times. Elected as Vice-Chairman Bar Council Azad Jammu and Kashmir in 2009. Appointed as Advocate-General of AJ&K in 2009. Elevated as Ad hoc Judge Supreme Court in April, 2010 and permanent Judge on 16-12-2011. Elevated as Chief Justice AJ&K on 25-2-2017.
