Aequitas est correctio legis generaliter latae qua parte deficit
Equity is the correction of some part of the law where by reason of its generality it is defective.
Deficit
1. A deficiency or disadvantage; a deficiency in the amount or quality of something.
Idem est non probari et non esse; non deficit jus sed probation
It is the same thing not to be proved and not to exist; the law is not deficient but the proof.
Lex non deficit in justitia exhibenda
The law does not fail in showing justice.
