Habitation

1. The act of inhabiting; occupancy. 2. A dwelling place; a domicile. 3. Civil law. A right to dwell in the property of another. See RESIDENCE; DOMICILE. Cf. USUFRUCT.

Vagabundum nuncupamus eum qui nullibi domicilium contraxit habitationis

We call the person a vagabond who has acquired nowhere a domicile of residence.

cohabitation

cohabitation agreement

A contract outlining the property and financial arrangements between persons who live together. Cf. PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT.

illicit cohabitation

At common law, the act of a man and a woman openly living together without being married to each other. - Also termed lewd and lascivious cohabitation.

lascivious cohabitation

The offense committed by two persons not married to each other who live together as husband and wife and engage in sexual intercourse. ( This offense, where it still exists, is seldom prosecuted.
