Board of Immigration Appeals.

The highest administrative tribunal for matters arising under U.S. immigration law, charged with hearing appeals from the Immigration and Naturalization Service. 0 The Board is made up of five permanent members appointed by the Attorney General and two immigration judges who serve on a temporary basis. Most cases are heard by panels of two permanent judges and one temporary judge. - Also termed Immigration Appeals Board.
