Palmer's Act

An English statute, enacted in 1856, giving a person accused of a crime falling outside the jurisdiction of the Central Criminal Court the right to have the case tried in that court. St. 19 & 20 Vict., ch. 16. - Also termed Central Criminal Court Act. See CENTRAL CRIMINAL COURT.
