Infrastructure
The underlying framework of a system; esp., public services and facilities (such as highways, schools, bridges, sewers, and water systems) needed to support commerce as well as economic and residential development.

capital structure
The mix of debt and equity by which a business finances its operations; the relative proportions of short-term debt, long term debt, and capital stock. capital surplus See under SURPLUS.
market structure
The broad organizational characteristics of a particular market, including seller concentration, product differentiation, and barriers to entry.
structured security
(usu. pl.) A security whose cash-flow characteristics depend on one or more indexes, or that has an embedded forward or option, or a security for which an investor's investment return and the issuer's payment obligations are contingent on, or highly sensitive to, changes in the value of the underlying assets, indices, interest rates, or cash flows. SEC Rule 434(h) (17 CFR ยง 230.434(h)).
structured settlement
A settlement in which the defendant agrees to pay periodic sums to the plaintiff for a specified time.
