Oversubscription
A situation in which there are more subscribers to a new issue of securities than there are securities available for purchase.
Subscription
n. 1. The act of signing one's name on a document; the signature so affixed. 2. Securities. subscription warrant
An instrument granting the holder a long-term (usu. a five- to ten-year) option to buy shares at a fixed price. 0 It is commonly attached to preferred stocks or bonds. - Also termed warrant; stock warrant.
