Administrative Office of the United States Courts.

President of the United States

United States Court of Federal Claims

A specialized federal court created under Article I of the Constitution in 1982 (with the name United States Claims Court) as the successor to the Court of Claims, and renamed in 1992 as the United States Court of Federal Claims. ( It has original, nationwide jurisdiction to render a money judgment on any claim against the United States founded on the Constitution, a federal statute, a federal regulation, an express or implied-in-fact contract with the United States, or any other claim for damages not sounding in tort. - Also termed Court of Claims (abbr. A court with jurisdiction over any civil action against the United States arising from federal laws governing import transactions or the eligibility of workers, firms, and communities for adjustment assistance under the Trade Act of 1974 (19 USCA §§ 2101-2495). 0 Its exclusive jurisdiction also includes actions to recover customs duties, to recover on a customs bond, and to impose certain civil penalties for fraud or negligence.
