actio Publiciana

An action allowing a person who had acquired bonitarian ownership of property to recover it, so that the person would in due course acquire full title by prescription. This action is named for Publicius, the praetor who first granted it. - Also termed actio Publiciana in rem. See bonitarian ownership under OWNERSHIP.
