adyudicatory hearing
1. A hearing held by a juvenile court to determine whether a juvenile has engaged in delinquent conduct; a trial of a youth accused of a delinquency. See JUVENILE DELINQUENCY. Cf. detention hearing; disposition hearing. 2. Administrative law. An agency proceeding in which the rights and duties of a particular person are decided after notice and an opportunity to be heard. - Also termed adjudicatory proceeding. conformity hearing. See CONFORMITY HEARING.
