adj. Able or entitled to be compensated for <a compensable injury>. - Also termed recompensable.
compensable death
Workers' compensation. A death that, because it occurred in the course of employment, entitles the employee's heirs to compensation.
compensable injury
Workers' compensation. An injury caused by an accident arising from the employment and in the course of the employee's work, and for which the employee is statutorily entitled to receive compensation.
