[Latin "seized"] Civil law. A theft in which the stolen item was searched for and found in someone's possession and in the presence of witnesses. See FURTUM CONCEPTUM.
li furtum conceptum
[Latin] Roman law. A theft in which the thief is discovered in possession of stolen property after a search with witnesses.
