estadia
n. [Spanish] Spanish law. 1. A delay in a voyage, or in the delivery of cargo, caused by the charterer or consignee and for which demurrage is payable. 2. The time for which the party who has chartered a vessel, or is bound to receive the cargo, has to pay demurrage because of a delay in executing the contract. - Also termed sobrestadia (soh-braystah-thee-ah).
