Clausula generalis de residuo non ea complectitur quae non ejusdem sint generis cum its quae speciatim dicta fuerant

A general clause of remainder does not embrace those things that are not of the same kind as those that had been specially mentioned.

A minor who is under 12 years of age cannot be outlawed nor placed beyond the law, because before such age he is not under any law nor in a decennary.

Non valebit felonis generatio nee ad haereditatem paternam vel maternam; si autem ante feloniam generationem- fecerit, talis generatio succedit in haereditate patris vel matris a quo non fuerit feloni

The offspring of a felon cannot succeed either to a maternal or paternal inheritance; but if the felon had offspring before the felony, the offspring may succeed to the inheritance of the father or mother by whom no felony was committed.

If several conditions are conjunctively written in a gift, the whole of them must be complied with; and with respect to their truth, it is necessary that every part be true, taken jointly: if the conditions are separate, it is sufficient to comply with either one or the other of them; and being disjunctive, that one or the other be true.
