An employee benefit plan established and maintained by the government for its employees at any level, including plans established or maintained in accordance with collective-bargaining agreements between governmental entities and labor unions if those plans are funded by, and cover only employees of, governmental entities. - Also termed governmental employee benefit plan; government plan.
