Bear raid. Slang

high-volume stock selling by a large trader in an effort to drive down a stock price in a short time. ( bear raids are prohibited by federal law. - also termed bear drive.

A bid submitted in response to public notice of an intended sale or purchase.

firm bid.

A bid that, by its terms, remains open and binding until accepted or rejected. 0 A firm bid usu. contains no unusual conditions that might defeat acceptance.

grant-in-aid.

1. A sum of money given by a governmental agency to a person or institution for a specific purpose; esp., federal funding for a state public program. 2. Hist. AID (1).

abbr. [Latin ibidem] In the same place.
