A provision in many insurance policies obligating the insured to notify the insurer as soon as possible after a claim arises. 0 A requirement in a policy for "prompt" or "immediate" notice - or that notice must be given "immediately," "at once," "forthwith," "as soon as practicable," or "as soon as possible" - generally means that the notice must be given within a reasonable time under the circumstances.
