[Latin "according to his interest"] A judicial inquiry into the merits of a person's claim to sequestered property. "In practice, an examination pro interesse suo is an inquiry described as follows: When any person claims to be entitled to an estate or other property sequestered, whether by mortgage or judgment, lease or otherwise, or has a title paramount to the sequestration, he should apply to the court to direct an inquiry whether the applicant has any and what interest in the property sequestered." 79A C.J.S. Sequestration ยง 31, at 589 (1995).

[Latin "interest of term or end"] Archaic. A lessee's right of entry onto the leased property; esp., a lessee's interest in real property before taking possession. ( An interesse termini is not an estate; it is an interest for the term. It gives the lessee a claim against any person who prevents the lessee from entering or accepting delivery of the property.
