Intragovernmental

adj. Within a government; between a single government's departments or officials.

Quaecunque intra rationem legis inveniuntur, intra legem ipsam esse judicantur

Whatever appears within the reason of the law is considered within the law itself.

Res quae intra praesidia perductae nondum sunt quanquam ab hostibus occupatae, ideo postliminii non egent, quia dominum nondum mutarunt ex gentium jure

Things that have not yet been brought within the enemy's camp, although held by the enemy, do not need the fiction of postliminy on this account, because their ownership by the law of nations has not yet changed.

intra

& adj. [Latin] Within. Cf. INFRA. "The use of infra (below) in the sense and place of intra (within) is a corruption of very ancient date .... The expression 'under age' (the correct literal translation of infra aetatem) indeed, is of more common occurrence than 'within age.' adu. & adj. [Latin] Within the space of a year.

intra idem

adj. [Latin] Within belief; credible.

intra luctus tempus

adu. & adj. [Latin] Within the time of mourning.

intra maenia

adu. & adj. [Latin] Hist. Within the walls (of a house). This term was used most commonly in reference to domestic servants.

intra parietes

adu. [Latin] Within one's own walls (i.e., in private). ( This phrase was formerly used most commonly in reference to matters settled out of court.

intra quattuor maria

adu. & adj. [Latin] Within the four seas.

intra sires

adj. [Latin "within the powers (of)"] Of or referring to an action taken within a corporation's or person's scope of authority <calling a shareholders' meeting is an intra wires function of the board of directors. - intra vires, adu. Cf ULTRA VIRES.

intra trqjectum

adu. & adj. [Latin] In the passage over; on the voyage over. - Also spelled in traiectu.

intra-enterprise conspiracy

Antitrust. A conspiracy existing between two subsidiaries, divisions, or other parts of the same firm. -Also termed bathtub conspiracy.

intraday

adj. Occurring within a single day.

intraliminal right

Mining law. The privilege to mine ore in areas within the boundaries of a mineral claim. ( In contrast to an extralateral right, an intraliminal right does not give the holder the right to mine a vein of ore outside the lease even if the vein lies mostly within the lease. Cf. APEX RULE.

intransitive covenant

A covenant whose performance does not pass from the original covenantor to the covenantor's representatives. Cf. transitive covenant.

intrastate commerce
