Judicature Acts

A series of statutes that reorganized the superior courts of England in 1875. ( The Judicature Acts were superseded by the Supreme Court Act of 1981.judices (joo-di-seez). [Latin] pl. JUDEX. judicia (joo-dish-ee-a). [Latin] pl. JUDICIUM.

Supreme Court of Judicature

The highest court in England and Wales, consisting of the High Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal; and the Crown Court. ( The Supreme Court was created under the Judicature Act of 1873 that consolidated the existing superior courts, including the High Court of Chancery, the court of Queen's Bench, the court of Exchequer, the High Court of Admiralty, the court of Probate, and the London court of Bankruptcy.
