lex loci
[Latin] 1. The law of the place; local law. Cf. LEX FORI. 2. LEX LOCI CONTRACTUS.
lex loci actus
n. [Law Latin] The law of the place where an act is done or a transaction is completed. - Often shortened to lex actus.
lex loci celebrationis
n. [Latin "law of the place of the ceremony"] The law of the place where a contract, esp. of marriage, is made. ( This law usu. governs when the validity of a marriage is at issue. Restatement (Second) of Conflict of Laws ยง 283(2) (1971).
lex loci contractus
[Latin] The law of the place where a contract is executed or to be performed. ( Lex loci contractus is often the proper law by which to decide contractual disputes. - Often shortened to lex loci; lex contractus.
lex loci delicti
[Latin] The law of the place where the tort was committed. - Often shortened to lex delicti. -Also termed lex loci delictus; lex loci delicti commissi; place-of-wrong rule; place-of-wrong law.
