An action brought for the recovery of debts, personal property, or damages arising from any cause."Personal actions are those brought (1) for specific recovery of goods or chattels, (2) or for damages or other redress for breach of contract, (3) or every other kind of injury. They are ex contractu when they arise out of contract, ex delicto when they arise out of the wrong or delict of the defendant." Edwin E.
