state-action doctrine
Antitrust. The principle that the antitrust laws do not ptohibit a state's anticompetitive acts, or official acts directed by a state. Parker v. Brown, 317 U.S. 341, 63 S.Ct. 307 (1943). - Also termed Parker doctrine. See MIDCAL TEST.
