voice exemplar
A sample of a person's voice used for the purpose of comparing it with a recorded voice to determine whether the speaker is the same person. ( Although voiceprint identification was formerly inadmissible, the trend in recent years has been toward admissibility. See Fed. R. Evid. 901. Cf. VOICEPRINT.
