ORDINANCE I OF 1997 ORDINANCE I OF 1997 BALOCHISTAN IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE AUTHORITY ORDINANCE, 1997 CHAPTER II CONSTITUTION OF THE AUTHORITY 8. Appointment and terms of office of Managing Director and members of Board of Management.‑(1) The Managing Director and the General Managers shall have requisite technical background and practical experience in the profession relevant to their descriptions. The Managing Director shall possess at least 25 years of professional standing in the field of irrigation and drainage whereas General Managers shall possess a minimum of 15 years experience in their relevant fields. (2) The term of Office of the members of Board of Management shall be 4 years. (3) Any person ceasing to be the Managing Director or member of Board of Management by reason of the expiry of the term of his office shall be eligible for re‑appointment for another similar term or for such shorter term as the Government may fix. (4) The Managing Director or Member may, at any time resign of his office; Provided that his resignation shall not' take effect until accepted by the Government.
