ACT IV OF 1994 ACT IV OF 1994 BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY ACT, 1994 CHAPTER III OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY 12. Vice‑Chancellor.‑‑(1) The Chancellor shall appoint a person other than the Principal of the College having post‑graduate engineering qualifications and experience necessary to ensure the discipline, educational environment visualized ,for the University to be the Vice‑Chancellor, on the terms and conditions as the Chancellor may determine. (2) A Vice‑Chancellor shall hold office during the pleasure of the Chancellor, for a term not exceeding four years. (3) When the office of the Vice‑Chancellor is vacant, or he is absent or is unable to perform the functions of his office due to illness or some other cause, the Chancellor shall make such arrangements as he may deem fit. (4) The Vice‑Chancellor shall be the principal executive and academic Officer of the University.
