ACT IV OF 1994 ACT IV OF 1994 BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY ACT, 1994 CHAPTER III OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY 14. Registrar.‑‑(1) The Registrar shall be a whole time Officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Syndicate on the recommendations of the Selection Board which shall consider for this purpose a panel of three persons recommended by a Search Committee appointed by the Syndicate and headed by the Vice‑Chancellor. . (2) The Registrar shall be appointed on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed for a term not exceeding five years and shall be eligible for reappointments. (3) The Registrar shall‑‑ (a) be the custodian of the Common Seal and the academic records of the University; (b) maintain a register of registered graduates in the prescribed manner; (c) conduct elections of members to the Authorities in the prescribed manner; and (d) perform such other duties as may be prescribed.
