ACT IV OF 1994 ACT IV OF 1994 BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY ACT, 1994 CHAPTER III OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY 15. Treasurer.‑‑(1) The Treasurer shall be a whole‑time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Chancellor on the recommendations of the Selection Board which shall consider for this purpose a panel of three persons recommended by a Search Committee appointed by the Syndicate and headed by the Vice‑Chancellor. (2) The Treasurer shall be appointed for a term not exceeding five years on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed and shall be eligible for reappointment. (3) The Treasurer shall‑'‑ (a) manage the property, the finances and investments of the University; (b) prepare annual and revised budget estimates of the University and present them before the Finance Committee; (c) ensure that the funds of the University are expended for the purposes they are provided; and (d) perform such other duties as may be prescribed.
