Appeal to and review by the Syndicate.‑‑(1) Where any Officer (other than the Vice‑Chancellor), teacher or other employee of the University has been punished or any of the terms and conditions of his service has been varied to his disadvantage by an order passed by the Vice‑Chancellor or any other competent authority, have the right to appeal against such order to the Syndicate, provided that where the order has been made by the Syndicate, the aggrieved person may, instead of filing appeal to the Syndicate, apply for review of that order. (2) The appeal or application for review under subsection (1) shall be routed through the Vice‑Chancellor who shall place it before the Syndicate alongwith his views.
