ACT IV OF 1994 ACT IV OF 1994 BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY ACT, 1994 CHAPTER VIII STATUTES, REGULATIONS AND RULES 46. Regulations.‑‑(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, Regulations may be made in respect of all or any of the following matters:‑‑ (a) the courses of studies for degree, diplomas and certificates of the University; (b) the manner and method of teaching conducted in the University and colleges; (c) the admission of students to the University and conditions under which they are allowed to take courses and examinations of the University and become eligible for the award of degrees, diplomas certificates; (d) the conduct of examinations; (e) the fees and other charges to be paid by the students for admission to the courses of studies and the examinations of the University; (f) the conduct and discipline of students of the University; (g) the residence of the students of the University or the colleges, and fees for residence . in halls of residence and hostels and approval of hostels and lodgings for students; (h) conditions for carrying out independent research for acquiring a degree; (i) the institutions of fellowships, scholarships, medals and prizes; (j) the institutions of stipends and free and half‑free studentships; (k) the academic costume; (1) the use of the library; (m) the formation of Academic Departments and ‑Boards of Students; and (n) the other matters which, under this Act or Statutes, are to be or may be prescribed by Regulations. (2) The Academic Council shall prepare and submit the Regulations to the Syndicate which may approve them with or without modification or refer them back to the Academic Council for reconsideration. A regulation proposed by the Academic Council shall not be valid, unless it receives the approval of the Syndicate.
