ACT VII OF 1996 ACT VII OF 1996 ABOLITION OF THE PUNISHMENT OF WHIPPING ACT, 1996 2. Definition.---In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context, the expression "hadd" means the punishment of crimes laid down in the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah.
