ORDINANCE II of 2010 ORDINANCE II of 2010 BALOCHISTAN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ORDINANCE, 2010 An Ordinance to consolidate and rationalize the law relating to formation of trade unions, and improvement of relations between employers and workman [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 28th July, 2010] No.Legis.2-132/Law/2010, dated 28-7-2010.--The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 22nd July, 2010 is hereby published for general information:‑ Whereas it is expedient to consolidate and rationalize the law relating to formation of trade unions, regulation of relations between employers and workman and the avoidance and settlement of any differences or disputes arising between them or matters connected therewith and ancillary thereto; And whereas the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan is not in session and the Governor of Balochistan is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 128 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance: 27. Additional powers of the Commission.- In addition to the powers which the Commission has under section 26- (a) the Commission shall have power to punish any person who obstructs or abuses its process or disobeys any of its orders or directions, or does anything which tends to prejudice the case of a party before it, or tends to bring it or any of its members in relation to proceedings of the Commission into hatred or contempt, or does anything which, by law, constitutes contempt of Court, with simple imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to fifty thousand rupees, or with bothand (b) for the purposes of any investigation, enquiry or adjudication to be made by the commission under this Act, the Chairman or any member of the commission may at any time between the hours of sunrise and sunset, and any other person authorized in writing by the Chairman or any member of the Commission in this behalf may, after he has given reasonable notice, enter any building, factory, workshop or other place or premises whatsoever and inspect the same or any work, machinery, appliance or article therein or interrogate any person therein in respect of anything situated therein or any matter relevant to matters before the Commission.
