ACT I OF 2010 ACT I OF 2010 BALOCHSITAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2010 An Act further to amend the Balochistan Local Government Ordinance, 2001 [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 9th January, 2010] No.PAB/Legis:V(1)/2010, dated 9-1-2010.---The Balochistan Local Government (Amendment) Bill, 2010 having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 9th January, 2010 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan, on 9th January, 2010 is hereby published as an act of the Provincial Assembly. Preamble.---Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Balochistan Local Government Ordinance, 2001 (XVIII of 20010, for the purposes hereinafter appearing. It is hereby enacted as follows:--- 3. Amendment of section 159, Ordinance XVIII of 2001.---In the said Ordinance, in section 159; for subsection (1) the following shall be substituted, namely: "(1) Subject to section 179-B, the term of office of Local Governments shall be four years commencing from the date of the notification of assumption of office by respective Councils."
