ORDINANCE VI OF 2007 ORDINANCE VI OF 2007 BALOCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 2007 An Ordinance further to amend the Balochistan Local Government Ordinance, 2001. [Gazette of Balochistan Extraordinary 7th April, 2007] No.Legis:122/Law/2000-XIII, dated 7-4-2007.--The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 24th March, 2007, is hereby published for general information:-- Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Balochistan Local Government Ordinance, 2001 (XVIII), for the purposes hereinafter appearing; And whereas, the President of Pakistan has, in consultation with Prime Minister, accorded sanction to the said amendments in the Balochistan Local Government Ordinance, 2001, in terms of clause (2) of Article 268 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. 1973. And whereas, the Provincial Assembly is not in session and the Governor is satisfied that the circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 128 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, the Governor of the Province of Balochistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:-- 2. Amendment of the First Schedule, Ordinance XVIII of 2001.--In the Balochistan Local Government Ordinance, 2001 in the first Schedule,-- (a) in Part-A, entry (xvi) shall be omitted; and (b) in Part-C, in entry (iv), the word and comma "College," shall be omitted.
