BALOCHISTAN INDUSTRIES DEPARTMENT BALOCHISTAN INDUSTRIES DEPARTMENT (GRADE 16 AND ABOVE) SERVICE RULES, 1983 (Amendment of Appendix) [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 18th December, 2011] No. SORII(10)14/S&GAD/219-70, dated 18-1-2011.---In exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Balochistan Civil Servants Act, 1974 (IX of 1974), the Government of Balochistan is pleased to make the following amendments in the Balochistan Industries Department (Grade 16 and above) Service Rules, 1983, namely:-- In the aforesaid rules, in the Appendix, the existing serial numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (inadvertently mentioned 7 instead of 6), 7, 8, 9 and 10 shall be renumbered as serial numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 13, respectively and thereafter,-- (a) before Sr. No.3 as renumbered here above, the following new entries shall be inserted, namely:-- 1. Director General (B-20) --- By transfer from amongst the officers of BSS/BCS/DMG. 2. Director (B-19) --- By Promotion from amongst the members of the Service holding the post of Deputy Director (B-18) having at least 12 years service in B-17 and above, on seniority cum fitness basis. (b) against the entries at Sr. Nos.3, 5, 8 and 9 as renumbered here above, the following shall be substituted, namely:-- 3. Deputy Director (B-18) --- By promotion from amongst the members of the Service holding the posts of Assistant Director (B-17), Assistant Director Statistics (B-17) and Administrative Officer (B-17) having at least 5 years service as such, on seniority cum fitness basis 5. Assistant Director (B-17) 2nd Class Master Degree in Economics, M.Com; or MBA from a recognized University. (a) 50% by initial recruitment; and (b) 50% by promotion from amongst the members of the Service holding the posts of Superintendent (B-16) and Assistant Accounts Officer (B-16) having at least 3 years service as such, on seniority cum fitness basis. 8. Assistant Director Statistic (B-17) --- By promotion from amongst the members of the Service holding the post of Industrial Development Officer (B-16) having at least 3 Years service as such, on seniority cum- fitness basis. 9. Administrative Officer (B-17) --- By promotion from amongst the members of the Service holding the post of Superintendent (B16) having at least 3 years service as such, on seniority cum fitness basis. (C) After Sr. No.9 as amended hereabove, the following new entries shall be inserted at serial number 10, namely:-- 10. Law Officer (B-17) (a) B.A. LL.B from a recognized University; and (b) at least two years practice as an Advocate. By initial recruitment.
