De-notification of Protected Area or Alteration of Boundaries.---The Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, de-notify a Protected Area or declare any alteration in the boundaries of a Protected Area on receiving an explicit written request from the Head of the Department or the Head of a Conservancy Management Authority, as the case may be, justifying such action and endorsement by the Council in writing on such a request.
