ACT XIV OF 2014 ACT XIV OF 2014 BALOCHISTAN WILDLIFE (PROTECTION, PRESERVATION, CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT) ACT, 2014 An Act to provide protection, preservation, conservation, sustainable and management to the Wildlife, and establishment and management of protection areas in the Province of Balochistan. [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 28th March, 2014] CHAPTER XI POWERS OF THE GOVERNMENT AND OFFICERS 68. Amendment to Schedules.---(1) The Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, amend any Schedule in respect of the following:-- (a) addition to or deletion from or transfer to a Schedule of any species of wild animal; (b) fix or alter the period during which any game animal may be hunted; (c) open or close any geographical or administrative area in the outer country side to hunting of game animals; and (d) revise the fees for various types of licenses and permits. (2) The amendments as provided herein above subsection (1) shall be subject to the following conditions:-- (a) any addition to or deletion from or transfer to a Schedule of any species of wild animal shall be strictly for its protection and conservation or sustainable use, as the case may be, based on its conservation status and shall not be for unsustainable harvest; (b) the reasons and justifications for any addition, deletion or transfer shall be recorded in the official notification that is published in the Provincial Gazette; and (c) temporary transfer of a species from Schedule-III of Protected Animals to the Schedule-I of Game Animals shall be prohibited, if it is against the spirit of original listing and the conservation status of the specie
