ACT IX OF 2014 ACT IX OF 2014 BALOCHISTAN SEA FISHERIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2014 An Act further to amend the Balochistan Sea Fisheries Ordinance, 1971 (Balochistan Ordinance No. IX of 1971) [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 17th February, 2014] 2. Amendment of section 9, Ordinance No.IX of 1971.---In the Balochistan Sea Fisheries Ordinance, 1971 (Ordinance No. IX of 1971), hereinafter referred as the said Act, in Section 9, for the second proviso the following shall be substituted, namely:-- "Provided further that fishing craft/trawler operating with the banned fishing gear/net or without valid fishing license shall also be liable to confiscation along with the banned fishing gear/net; and on conviction the banned fishing gear/net shall be destroyed in the presence of a Magistrate, while the fishing craft/trawler shall be auctioned through wide publicity in leading newspapers".
