Penalties.---(1) Any manufacturer or distributor who contravenes the provisions of subsection. (1) of Section 8, subsections (1) (3) (4) or (5) of Section 11, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine which shall not be less than fifty thousand rupees or more than five hundred thousand rupees, or both. (2) Any person who contravenes any other provision of this Act, or the rules shall be punishable with a fine which may extend to five hundred thousand rupees.
