[Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 3rd February, 2014] No.PAB/Legis: V (03)/2014/4076, dated 3-2-2014.---The Balochistan Introduction of Mother Languages as Compulsory Additional Subject at Primary level Bill 2014, (Bill No.03 of 2014), having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 25th January,2014 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 3rd February,2014 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. Preamble.---Whereas, the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 under Article 251 (3) permits the Provincial Assembly to formulate law prescribing measures for teaching promotion and use of a provincial language in addition to the national language; And whereas, it is expedient to regulate the introduction of mother language as compulsory additional subject for teaching at primary level in Balochistan in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows:-- 1. Short title, extent and commencement.---(1) This Act may be called "The Balochistan Introduction of Mother Languages as Compulsory Additional Subject at Primary Level Act, 2014".
