ACT VII OF 2014 ACT VII OF 2014 BALOCHISTAN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (PREVENTION AND PROTECTION) ACT, 2014 An Act to make provisions for protection against domestic violence. [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 12th February, 2014] 5. Application to the Court.---(1) An aggrieved person or any other person authorized by the aggrieved person in writing in this behalf may present an application to the Court within whose jurisdiction offence was committed for seeking any relief under this Act. (2) The application under subsection (1) shall be in such form and contain particulars as may be prescribed or as nearly as possible thereto. (3) The court shall fix the first date of hearing, which shall not exceed three days from the date of the receipt of the application by the court. (4) The application made under subsection (1) shall be disposed of within a period of thirty days and any adjournment given during the hearing of the application shall be granted for reasons to be recorded in writhing by the Court. (5) For purpose of trial under this Act, the Court shall follow the procedure specified in Chapter XX of the Code.
