THE ABASYN UNIVERSITY ACT, 2009 THE ABASYN UNIVERSITY ACT, 2009. (1[KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA] ACT NO. XIII OF 2009) [First published after having received the assent of the Governor of the 1[Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] in the Gazette of 1[Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] (Extraordinary) ,dated the 24th October, 2009] 1.Substituted vide Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Act No. IV of 2011 AN ACT to provide for the establishment of a University at Peshawar in the name of Abasyn University. Preamble.---WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the establishment of a University at Peshawar in the name of Abasyn University, in the private sector, and for matters ancillary thereto; It is hereby enacted as follows: CHAPTER -I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and commencement.--- (1) This Act may be called the Abasyn University Act, 2009. (2) It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect from 1st March, 2008.
