Preamble.---WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the establishment of a University at Peshawar in the name of Abasyn University, in the private sector, and for matters ancillary thereto; It is hereby enacted as follows: CHAPTER -I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and commencement.--- (1) This Act may be called the Abasyn University Act, 2009. (2) It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect from 1st March, 2008.
