THE ABASYN UNIVERSITY ACT, 2009 THE ABASYN UNIVERSITY ACT, 2009. (1[KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA] ACT NO. XIII OF 2009) [First published after having received the assent of the Governor of the 1[Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] in the Gazette of 1[Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] (Extraordinary) ,dated the 24th October, 2009] 1.Substituted vide Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Act No. IV of 2011 AN ACT to provide for the establishment of a University at Peshawar in the name of Abasyn University. Preamble.---WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the establishment of a University at Peshawar in the name of Abasyn University, in the private sector, and for matters ancillary thereto; It is hereby enacted as follows: CHAPTER III OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY 7. Principal Officers.---The following shall be the principal officers of the University, namely: - the Patron; the Chancellor; the Vice-chancellor; the Deans; the Principals of the constituent colleges/ institutes; the Chairpersons of the Teaching Departments; the Registrar; the Treasurer; the Controller of Examinations; the Librarian; and such other persons as may be prescribed by the Statutes or Regulations to be the principal officers of the University.
