ACT III OF 2016 ACT III OF 2016 BALOCHISTAN PROHIBITION OF EXPRESSING MATTERS ON WALLS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2016 An Act further to amend the Balochistan Prohibition of Expressing Matters on Walls Ordinance 2001 (Ordinance No. LI of 2001) [Gazette of Balochistan Extraordinary, 22nd February, 2016] No. PAB/Legis:V(24)/2016/6017, dated 22.2.2016.--- The Balochistan Prohibition of Expressing Matters on Walls (Amendment) Bill 2015, (Bill No.24 of 2015), having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 15th February, 2016 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 17th February, 2016 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. Preamble.---Whereas it is expedient to amend the Balochistan Prohibition of Expressing Matters on Walls Ordinance 2001; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 3. Insertion of new section 2-A, Ordinance LI of 2001.---In the said Ordinance, after section 2, the following new section shall be inserted, namely:- 2-A. Cognizance and summary trial.---(1) An offence under this Ordinance shall be cognizable and not bailable. (2) A Magistrate of the first class shall conduct the trial of an offence under Balochistan Prohibition of Expressing Matters on Walls Ordinance 2001 in accordance with the provisions of Chapter XXII of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (V of 1898).
