ACT XIX OF 2016 ACT XIX OF 2016 ALI INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION LAHORE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2016 An Act to amend the Ali Institute of Education Lahore Act, 2010 [Gazette of Punjab Extraordinary, 4th March, 2016] No. PAP/Legis-2(100)/2015/1391, dated 4-3-2016.---The Ali Institute of Education Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2015, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on February 26, 2016, and assented to by the Governor of the Punjab on March 3, 2016, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab. It is necessary further to amend the Ali Institute of Education Lahore Act, 2010 (II of 2010) for increasing the scope of education being imparted at the Institute and for other purposes. Be it enacted by Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as follows: 2. Amendment in section 4 of Act II of 2010.---In the Ali Institute of Education Lahore Act, 2010 (II of 2010), in section 4, in subsection (1): (a) for clause (i), the following shall be substituted: (i) provide instructions and training in the faculty of education aimed at improvement of teaching skills for teachers in different disciplines as the Board may determine; subject to the prior approval of the relevant statutory body of professional education; ; and (b) for clause (iv), the following shall be substituted: (iv) hold examinations in the prescribed manner and, if a person qualifies the examination, award a degree, certificate and any other academic distinction to the person; .
